RECREATION GROUND SOCIAL

The euchre and dance social held last Saturday in aid of the Southbridge Recreation Ground improvement fund, was completely successful, the door receipts amounting to £11/3/-. First prizes for euchre were won by Mrs J. Hannah and Mr P. Buckley, while Mrs H. G. Hubbard and Mr J. Ludemann won the second prizes. Mrs R. Lambie played for the dancing. At the next social, to be held on Christmas Eve (December 24), the first prizewinners will share a fat lamb generously given by Mr J. P. McEvedy.
