Sir, —Would you kindly allow me, through your paper, to thank some kind Leeston friend who has sent me a gift through the post. She has omitted to send her name, so I am taking this means of letting her know how grateful I am. The parcel was directed : 'Mr W. D. Lawrence '' Veteran "A. and P. Association, Leeston, and sent to Avonside, and re-directed to my present home, 99, Carlton Mill Road, Merivale.—Yours, etc. WILLIAM D. LAWRENCE.
