HARLEY VICTORIES

SATURDAY'S MOTOR RACING

At the motor cycle racing on the Brighton Beach on Saturday the supremacy of the Harley-Davidsbn motor cycle was demonstrated in striking fashion, all the principal awards going to Harley riders.

In the six miles maiden race Harleys were first and second, with a New Hudson third. All the riders were

private owner riders,

In the 12 miles open race Harleys were first and second. On a2f machine 6. Hockley gained second place in record time, breaking his own previous beach record in the great time of 10 mm. 37 2-ssecs.

Again in the 20 miles open race R. Palmer, a private owner, established fastest time and filled second place.

Only two Harley machines competed in an exceptionally large field, and gained first and second places in two out of the three events, and fastest time and second place in the third race.

Messrs Jones Motors, Ltd., Clock Tower, Christchurch, the Harley distributors, have 1928 models on view in their showroom at present. For comfort, speed and reliability the Harley has no equal.
