ELLESMERE SUB-ASSOCIATION
Last night a meeting of the Ellesmere Lawn Tennis Sub-Association was held at Springston. Mr L. Harris presided and there were also present: Messrs Templeton, W. A. Sawyer, A. Stanley, W. Mounce, A. J. Sheat, K. W, Macpherson and I\ A. Straek (hon. sec). It was decided to suspend competition matches after December 3, until some time in February, when the second rounds will start. The starting date will be determined at a meeting i of the Sub-Association to be held on the first Monday in February. For many players the period from early in December until the middle of February is a very busy one, due to the hay and grain harvests. It was decided to issue challenges to Iher Malvern Sub-Association for matches, December 10 and 17 to be iog^ested as suitable dates; to the Ashburton Sub-Association, suggesting • January 7 or 14; and to the City and Suburban Association, suggesting Jan- , vary 21 or 28.
