N.Z. MEAT.

DISPLAYS IN LONDON.

BRITISH PUBLIC'S INTEREST.

By the last English mail the New Zealand Meat Producers' Board received from its London manager the following interesting letter regarding exhibits of New Zealand, meat, which have recently been arranged at Htane:

"I have to advise thafy in conjunction with the Empire Marketing Board, the New Zealand Government have "made very creditable exhibitions of Dominion produce at both the British industries Fair, which recently ran for ten days at the White City, and which was well attended, and also at the Ideal Home Exhibition, which is being held at Olympia from the Ist March to 26th March. '

'' Owing to the lack of refrigerating accommodation, it was impossible to show meat, but the wax carcases, which are very good imitations of the actual thing, were taken from the Royal Colonial Institute exhibit, and placed on the stand at the British Industries Fair. When the King visited the Fair he was quite interested in looking at these carcases, and passed very favourable comments on their appearance.

"I arranged for a supply of literature to be distributed at this stand, and altogether we obtained quite a good advertisement, as the Fair was visited by about, 160,000 from all parts of Britain.

"In connexion with the Empire Marketing Board exhibit, four demonstration kitchens were in operation during the whole time, and attracted a considerable amount of attention from the lady visitors to the show. I supplied various cuts and joints two or three times a week to enable a demonstration to be made on the cooking of New Zealand meat, and the demonstrators gave valuable hints as to the defrosting, preparation, etc. of New Zealand lamb to many hundreds of housewives. This Exhibition is a very popular one, and is attended by many hundreds of thous-

ands. ''
