ZEAL OVERDONE

It is very refreshing to read the words of a North London Court magis- | trate, in dismissing a case brought recently against a motorist for "obstruction." The facts of the case are that the motorist parked his car in a side street while he had a cup of coffee, and was served with a summons for "obstruction." The magistrate, in dismissing thesummons, remarked: "If anyone does not like.a stranger 's car outside his place he writes to the police, who, without any thought ifor the comfort of people who have put; their cars somewhere, instruct the constable on duty to summon the drivers of ears found there. It seems to mo ! the time is coming when the heads or I police responsible for such instructions 1 should pay somq attention to the comfort and convenience of motorists. Tho same thing is happening in every district of London, and is becoming perfectly intolerable.''
