HOUSE-WARMING SOCIAL
At the new residence of Mr S. M, Jackman, Leeston, a pleasurable evening was spent last night at a housewarming social, in which the moving spirits were Misses Mona Chisholm and Margaret Bohan. The company was shown through the t new house, after which an adjournment was made to the Band Hall, where the evening was passed in dancing and games. On the programme was a lucky spot waltz, of which Mr Jackman was the winner. A palatable supper was served and altogether a mirthful time ensued, the evening concluding with the singing of Auld Lang Syne.

Another evening on similar lines was held on a previous date at the residence of Mr F. L. Graham, Lakeside, where a very happy night was spent.
