Sale of Old-Established Business.

MESSRS SCOTT AND CO. SELL OUT

The National Mortgage and Agency Company has purchased the business of Messrs W. Scott and Co., grain, seed, hardware, coal and timber merchants, at Southbridge, and the new firm will take overthe business on the Ist of December. It is about thirty years since Messrs Scott and Co. set up in Southbridge, and the firm lias built a very extensive connexion. Indeed, for a good many years the firm has been looked' upon as quite an institution in the dis-' trict. Mr W. s! Hill, the senior partner, intends to retire, but our readers will be pleased to hear that arrangements have been made for Mr W. Scott to carry dfc as manager. The National Mortgage and Agency Company has a very good name amongst farmers throughout the Dominion as a business firm. The residents of the Southbridge district may entrust their business tp the company with every confidence that their interests will be well served. The National Mortgage is one of the strongest firms in the Dominion and the farmers in this district will find it an advantage in various ways to have its organisation at their disposal. An announcement with regard to the carrying on of the Southbridge business will be made in the " Guardian " shortly.
