[■'...■ AN ARREST. On Thursday Constables Middle- [ ton (Rakaia), Poole (Southbridge), and O'Connell (Leeston) arrested a man at Dunsandel, who was behaving strangely to the farmers m the district. Constable Middleton took the man to Rakaia. He is alleged to be the culprit who placed the sleepers on the railway line at Chertsey about a week ago, as he slept m an adjacent haystack on the night m question.
