Essay Competition

Two prizes of 5s each have been given by Mr Thompson for the best essays on the subject of 'Resuscitating and animating the apparently drowned.' Upwards of fifty essays were gone through by the judges and it was decided that the twolnest were Miss L. Kennedy, High School and Master Geo Jackson, VI Standard, faking the essays as a whole they are really very creditable, and shows that much interest has been taken m the work by all concerned. The Judges were — Rev Hamilton, a gentleman from Christchurch, and\ Mr Thompson.
