Southbridge Football Club.

The annual general meeting of th« Soatbbri.lge Football Club held on Saturday evening m th« Royal Mo»el. There was a good attendance, and Mr Cowan was voted to the chair. The minutes of the last annual meeting were read and confirmed. Correspondence was read from th Dsnsandel Football Ciub re total abolition of the customary dinner eupplied by sortif tearae ; alio from Canterbury Rugby Union, informing of annual meeting. Seven new members were proposed and duly elected. The annual report and balance-Bheet was then read, the latter showing a credit balance of £2 10s Id. Mr Tillyshort moved—" That the raport and balance-sheet be adopted as read." Seconded by Mr Strong and carried. The election of officer* resulted a< follows: — Fatkons— D. MoMillan, Esq. (re-elected) and W. H. Montgomery, M H.R. Pkhbidbnt— Dr F. J. Withers (re-elec-ted). Vice-Pbrbidbnts— Messrs R. Webster, R. P. Hill, J. Inwood, H. J. Pick, R. C. Burns, an* W. W. Wil?on (re-elected) ; and Messrs MoLachlan, M.H.R., Cameron, Alderton, and Wroughton. Skorstaby and Tbeabubsb — A Penfold.

Captain — Mr McCormick. Vice-Captain— Mr "W. Smith. Gbnbbal Oommittbb— Messrs T3oyc», Tillyehorr, Nicholson, NiveD, MoMillan, Scott, Trevella, (Jowan, and S'r«:ner. Match and Selection Committee— Dr. Withers, Vice-captain, and hbcretury. The Secretary was instructed to write for use of school grounds. Dr. Withers was r6-elected delegate to O.R.U. It was decided to open the season on April 6. Mr Cowan proposed, and Mr Mcllrai'h seconded, a hearty -vote of thanks to retiring officer*, and the nsual oompiiw-u to the cbair closed tbe mee^ae.
