This match was played at Dunsandel on Saturday, resulting m a very popular win for Dunsandel by 1 goal to 1 try, We are pleased to note the win of this junior club and trust that ie will be a stimulus to further effect and a forerunner of still more marked success.

Saturday's match on the Southbridge Ground will b» between teams representing the Township and the Country. All players, clubmen or veterans, are requested to be m readiness.

The Senior championship falls thii year t« Merivale. On Saturday last that clnb succeeded after a hard struggle m beating East Christchurch by five points to nothing. The clubs now stand as follows :— Merivale, 7 ; East Christchurch, 5£ ; Canterbury College, 41 ; Sydenham, 4 ; Christchurch, 3 ; Linwood 2. A match is yet unplayed, —the Sydenham- Christchurch, —but it cannot affect the result.

The Hawke's Bay—Wellington match was played at Newtown, (Wellington,) gronnd on Saturday. The ground was heavy, bnt the play was, notwithstanding, fairly fast. The match ended m a win for the home team by two tries to nothing. Wellington sends a team South next month .

At a meeting of the Sydenham Football club held on Monday, it was unanimously resolved :— " That as the Sydenham Football Club cannot get justice from the Canterbury Ragby Union the Club withdraws its allegiance from that body,"

The Leeslon-Dunsandel match, whi-h waa proposed to he played on Saturday next has fallen through. Leeston will probably play Sonthbridg« again on Saturday week.
