six and a half inches m diameter. The other lens is the eye glass proper, It is composed of three lenses, a double concave, a double convex and meniscus, cemented together. The field lens is of brown glass. The meniscus or correcting len9 is of flint glass. The light from the heavenly bodies seen through the Lick telescope with this new eye piece, will be 2000 times as bright as that seen with the naked eye
