The samples submitted are bright and clean, but not heavy. The outside demand is only oF a retail nature. Dealers are waiting fur a more decided development of the markets before launching into furl hot* speculations. Milling wheat (old) has a fair heal enquiry among local /nillers, and whole cluckwheat is wanted m small lines, Uats arc dull, with planty of old and new offering nt our quotations. .Barley remains inactive, but m grass seed the inquiry is brisk, and farmers should have no trouble m effecting sales. Cocksfoot is also asked for, but prices asked by growers has precluded business up to the present.
