On the Western front fierce fighting continues, but all the Allied Armies are making good progress. Scrasburgh has been completely cleared and some 60,000 retreating Germans are in a dangerous position,
The Allies continue with the war in the air almost non-stop. Hundreds of British and American bombers are keeping up a constant and deadly attack on German towns in the Ruhr - 1100 bombers, escorted by 700 fighters, having a great day yesterday Mosquitos attacked Berlin. Last week the Americans bombed Toxyio, doing tremendous damage. Hundreds of planes based on the Meditteranean also bombed targets in Northern Italy and Austria. The Russian steam roller is battering forward on a wide tront and are giving the enemy no respite. Several important towns have been captured. In Italy both the sth & Bth Armies have made important advances. The Americans have taken several villages and also have captured a vitally important height, The enemy has fallen back on all fronts.
