The British national Exchequer benefited by nearly £1,250,000 from the estate of Mr John Henry Scribbans, of Little Aston Hall, near Birmingham, a retired cake manufacturer, who died on February 5, aged 58 years. Mr Scribbans began as a baker’s boy. Papers were lodged for probate swearing the gross estate at £2,503,009, with net personality of £2,475,239.
