Mr Dixon S.M. presided over the quarterly meeting of the Licensing Committee at Alexandra on Thursday last, when' the following business was transacted : W. Wheatland applied for a permanent transfer from himself to A, S Walmsley, of the Hartley Arms Hotel, Clyde. —Granted. G. S. Blakely.-applied for and was granted a temporary transfer from himself to Andrew Allan of the Oturehna Hotel C. Graham applied for a temporary license of the Commercial Hotel, Clyde Granted for three monthsJ. Morrison, Waipiata Hotel, was granted permission to carry on in temporary premises until June Bth. This hole! was recenlly destroyed by fire. A- J. Winchester applied for permit for a booth at the Maniototo races on March 17th-- Granted.
