Contract 582 Gravelling 15 chains road near Clarke’s, Mt. Fisa, Lowburn Luggate Road. Contract 583-Gravelling 11 chains road, Cromwell Bridge-Firewood Creek road. Specifications for all works may be seen at the County Offices, Clyde, and for No. 581 at Mr Horn’s Store, Bannockburn ; No. 552, Lowburn Punt, and for No. £B3 at Town Clerk’s Office, Cromwell J. E. All horses must have been owned and in Vincent, Lake, Maniototo, or Tuapeka Counties prior to the Ist January, 1909. Nominations 20s must be in the hands of the .Secretary, Matakanui, not later than Bp.m. on Saturday, August 21st, 1909. Handicaps will ho declared on September 21st. First Acceptance 15s to be in the hands of the Secretary not later than 8 p.m. on 30th October. Second Acceptance of 15s to he 111 the hands of the Secretary not later than 9 p.m. on December 31st. • All winners of any race after the handicap is declared may be rcbandicapped. Revised handicaps (if any) will be declared on the 29ih December. Note,—Fifteen nominations at least mufit be received or no race.
