AGONY AFTER EATING
How a Sydney Man's Sufferings from Indigestion were cured by Mothers Seigel’s Syrup,
For many years it was thought that indigestion —most common of diseases and parent of scores of other ailments was due to sedentary habits in other words that it was caused by want of exercise . It is new known that while close confinement is only one of many contributary causes it plays an important part in settling up that almost universal complaint which only Mothers Seigel’s Syrup can throw down Belgian docters have found eases of indigestion among the savage tribes of the Congo Free State while it has been scientifically proved that horses cattle and dogs are also subject to it. So we must not regard Mr J, Robin’s business alone as the cause of the complaint from which he had suflered’
Mr J. Robins is a tailor and carries on his business at 105 Abercrombie Street Blacklairs Estate Sydney N.S.VV On May Ist 1905 Mr Robins sent a letter to the propritotors of Mothers Seigel’s Syrup relating some details of an illness from which that world renowned medicine has rescued him Mr Robin says;— "After the great good that has done me I cannot speak too strongly in favour of Seigel’s Syrup. From ISB9 to 1904 1 suffered chronically from severe indigestion, which made life a burden to me Often the agony that 1 endured after eating was so acute that I looked forward to meal times with dread. I wa« extremely careful in the matter of diet; but even so, the simplest and plainest articles of food would seldom agree wi.h me, and upset my stomach completely.
“ My whole const! ut’ou periodically affected by the strain upon it,was weakened. I could not assimilate sutticent nour» ishment to maintain my normal strength and so always felt out of sorts and run down.
“ But the symptom that alarmed me most was a severe pain which sometimes caught mo in the region of the heart. 1 had no doubt but that organ was seriously affected, and feared death from heart failure. The dread caused me to lie awake many a night. “At different periods of my illness I consuted no lewer than four doctors. They all failed not only to cure me but to coder any temporary relief. The numerous medicines reoomended to me by friends were no mote helpful and 1 derived no benefit from anything till I made trial of Mother Seigel’s Curative Byrup. After I had taken the syrup for a little while my health gradually improved in every respect. Later 1 could eat without pain and •jleep well- >ly cure complete!/’
