At the Land Board meeting last week the following business of local interest was transacted:— Hany JBirley, Mink Harris, John Stef hens, and Janies Wilson applied lor a grazing license over the “Spit Reserve.” Upper Wakatipu district,— Gran to i to applicants in tiusc fui rtsideuts of the locality. Neil Nicolson,president of the ft. Rathans Racing Clnb, wrote asking that an area of alonta 100 acres on Keenan’s run ft Rathans, be set aside as a racecourse reserve,—Held over fur further consideration. Ranger M’Dougall forwarded an application fiom J. B. M. Templeton to bo allowed to erect a house, and make a garden on reserve No 2247 Makarora.— Granted, G, H. Raul wrote withdrawing his application tor an occupation lease under ‘‘The Mining Districts Occu" paßon Act 189*1.” over 15 acres ot Moutere run. Leaning Rock District —Agreed to. John Ewing wrofe in r?gard to application made by Win Mills for an occupation lease Under 1 ' Tte Mining Districts! Land Occupation Act 1894,” over 100 acres on run 226 St. Balkans,—ReceivedJames Henry Truesdale applied for 100 acres on Matakanui run on least Hu* perpetuity, adjoining section 9 Block 7 Lauder district..— Hein over. Roderick Poison wrote in regard to capital value of sections 1 and 2, Block 3 Tairas district. Referred to the ranger for report. T D Me I evie wrote applying for an area on run No 226, St Bathans. to bring his holding up to 100 acres. —Held over Fred Smith, on behalf of the Presbylerifin C lunch Boa id of Property, applied for an area of 10 acres in tin* soul hern corner of faction 276, block j, Blackstone district Land appliedj for to be notified under clause 340 of the Laud Act, and offered for ea]o after the iajw of three month* j
