CLYDE RIFLE CLUB.
A well attended meeting of the Clyde Kifle vJlub was neid on Wednesday evening last. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The secretary read instructions re the formation of a rifle club, received from Colonel Webb. The com'-of rifles is Ij2 ss, ha'f of which has to be paid in advance, and a guarantee to pay the balance hi 12 monthsIt was resolved—That lists be left at Messrs Simmonds, Alderdice and Pitches for intending members to sign, and that no members signature be received unless the sum of Ll 2s 6d is paid down- These lists are to be closed on September "31st. Mr J. E. Stevens, on behalf of the range committee, reported that a suitable site for a shooting range was to be had near the cemetery. Ihe meeting then adjourned until Saturday, .September 31?t-
