NEW YORK, September 1

A freight train in the State of Montana broke in halves on a steep gradient. Eighteen trucks ran sixteen miles to Nyach station, where they crashed into a passenger, train. Thirty-six persons were killed. The cars took lire, and twenty-eight bodies were cremated.
