September 2nd,
A hot capsized at Owaka on Saturday when one occupant named Alf Dawson was drowned, and the other Claude Martin is misting. Walter Loring, of Dunedin, has been arrested at Wellington for alleged theft of over £3OO. His employer is C. M. Howison, Merchant, Dunedin. Scobie Msekeizie is ill. His condition is causing the greatest anxiety, Niw Zealand defeated New South Wales at football by 20 points to 3. Sir Maurice O'Rorke, Speaker, had a slight paralytic stroke on the left side. There is a general disposition to oppose increase of salaries given to Departmental heads.
