VITAL STATISTICS.

During the month of December there were in Dunedin 110 births, 50 deaths, and 83 marriages. During the corresponding month of last year the figures were : Births 100, deaths 75, and marriages 68. THE STATISTICS FOR 1900 are as follow :

December has been the biggest month for marriages in the history of the Dunedin office. Since December 17 no less than fifty-five marriage certificates were issued by the registrar. Included in that time there were two Sundays and two holidays on which the office was closed.
