Sunday Traffic.

We have repeatedly referred to the wholesale waggon traffic which goes on in Central Otago on Sundays, and have persistently urged the police to put a stop' to it. We notice that the practise is still carried on, but are pleased to see that one or two of the offenders have been brought to justice. At the Roxburgh Court last week, before Mr Burgess, S.M., John Meskell and John Staunton were charged with driving their waggons on the main road at Moa Flat, on Sunday. Mr Macdonald, who appeared for the waggoners, obtained an adjournment of the e;isesto the 14th February. The waggoners are subscribing a sum of money to test'one of these cases —in the court of appeal - for that is practically what it means, Mr Burgess having already mulcted the waggoners in similar cases.
