A special meeting of the Alexandra School Committee waa held on the KKh inst., when there wen* presentMenais Theyers (chairman), Kidman, Kennedy, Agp'eton, Ryan, and the Rev. Mr Lothian The meeting was called to consid* r the desirability of getting an organ for the School, and it was unanimously resolved that tho instrument bo procured at once, as the head master has, at the present time, to borrow one from time to time for tie use of the players who lead in tho music lessons. The Works Commi’tce reported that the contractor was alive to tho uct that tho shelter shed must be com* pleted at an early date. A discussion took place ae to the desirability of giving prizes at the breaking up of the school, and also of cnli-ting the assistance of the adies in getting up a picnic durin.» the holidays, and the matter was left over i 111 next regular meeting.
