In the second event (12 starters) the only two Sterlings in the race were placed First and Second. AT INVERCARGILL C.C. Sports. Nov. 3rd. the Three-mile Open Race was won on a *' Sterling.” AT AUCKLAND C.C.’s Meeting, on October 30th, in the Two-mile Challenge Shield Race ‘ Sterlings ’ were First and Second. In the Five-mile Intel-provincial Scratch Race ‘ Sterling’s * were again placed First and Second. The Multicycle Race was won on a • Sterling ’ tandem, beating live others, including the Dunlop triplet. AT CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 2nd, A. Holmes on a ‘ Sterling ’ won the Hill-climbing Championship, beating (among others) the Champion of N.Z. ( M.B.—The latter hat since changed hit mount for a 1 Sterling.')
