Alexandra Borough.
A meeting of the Alexaudra Borough Council was held at Alexandra on Wednesday evening, Mr J. Simmonds, the uswiyelected mayor, was duly installed as mayor of Alexandra for the ensuing year.
Mr H. Symes was granted a re* newal of his auctioneer's license on the same terms as last year. The applications of Messrs J. Nieper and E. Marslin for renewals of slaughtering licenses were only granted for six months, and notices were to be sent to the parties applying that they would not be isnewed after the six months had expired..
