The Dmifcian Presbytery met at Cromwell, on Tuesday, December Bth. There were present Rev. Messrs W. R Grant (moderator), Lothian and dimming (ministers), and Messrs Bowie and McGregor (elders). In regard to the deputation oi Presbytery appointed to visit the Wanaka district, the following deliverance was adopted unanimously :—That as the Rev. Messrs Gellie and dimming, deputies appointed to visit the Wanaka district had not yet been able to do so, they are therefore appointed to visit that district, and make intimation to the congregation on Sunday, January 24th. 1897, of the Synod's decision regarding the continuance of the district as a Church extension charge, under the regulations for a further period of three years. The deputies were also requested to interview as many of the local committees as thev could. A deputation from the Cromwell committee', consisting of Messrs Waddell and J.
