WHITE’S REEF GOLD-MINING COMPANY.
The following’is the Mine Manager’s re. port for the week ending May 15,1885 : Bald Hill Flat, May 16th, 1885To the Directors of the White’s Reef Gold Mining Company, Old Man Range. Gentlemen,— I beg to report for the week ending May 15, 1885. The intermediate drive has been extended.* farther distance of 12ft, making a totaLSSfence of 46ft from crosscut. Reef greatly improved since my last and showing payable gold, and has every indication of joining the hanging wall vein. Thd-nse from back of tunnel has been put up a further distance of 13ft 6in, making a total of 36tt, Size of reef about 3ft wide, and prospeots well. I expect to connect the rise ■with the intermediate drive in about nine days. Will tben commence to slope both east and west ends of rise, and hope to add 300 or 400 tons of quartz to the paddock in a short time. The output of quartz for the week being 21 tons, making a total of 341 tons. I remain, Yours Obediently, Taos. Andrew
