In the House of Lords to-day, the Lord Chancellor introduced a Bill, as a Government measure, to supercede the one brought in by tue Irish members of the House of Commons, to establish a Catholic University in Ireland similar to the London University, with the power to grant degrees and to receive the endowments of the Queen’s University, which in such case would ho virtually suppressed. Cairo, July Ist In compliance with the request of the Great Powers, the ex-Khedive, Ismael Pasha, and his two sous (second and third, the eldest, the hereditary Prince Tewfik, having been appointed regent).
