Prince Charley gained Ist Brize at the Taicri Agricultural Show, as a foal, in ISG4 ; gained Ist Prize at the Agricultural Show in ISGS, as a one-year old ; gained 2nd Prize at the Dunedin Agricultural Show in ISOG, as a two-year old. His sire is the well known Old Prince Charley, of Australia. His dam Jessy, imported in ISG3, by Messrs Emary and Strachan, from Tasmania ; and the same year gained the Taicri Agricultural Society's Ist prize for the best Colonial Mare ; and 2nd Prize for being tbo best mare in the yard, beating Mr Niramo's Black Wave, imported direct from Scotland ; in the following years took prizes at the Taicri and Dunedin.
