WAIROA NOTES.
(SPECIdZ TO DAILY TELEGRAPH.) [by telegraph.] Wairoa, This day. Before Mr Barton, S.M., last night Christopher McNally, a very old settler, was committed to the Wellington Lunatic Asylum. A memorial service is to be held at the Presbyterian Church on Sunday in connection with Trooper McKechnie's death. A movement is also on foot to erect a monument to his menfory. Mr Barton left for Gisborne this morning-
