Bowen, Captain Russell, Major Pitt, Major (Steward, and Messrs Beauchamp, Luke, Leys, Reid, Millar. The Alameda, with the colonial mails of December 6th, arrived at San Francisco on the 23rd mat., one day early. Arrangements have been made with Mr Gilruth to purchase in England blood stock on behalf of private individual. Dunedin, This day. The holidays were marred by rain on Christmas Day and a cold biting wind yesterday, wiih a slight shower or two. Christohdroh, This day. The weather on Christmas morning was bitterly cold. A south-west gile, accompanied by frequent heavy downpours of rain, completely spoiled the hol'day yesterday and caused the postponement of irost of the local fixtures.
