PLUMPTON PARK SPORTS.
The annual picnic and sports of the Plumpton Park Club were beld yesterday and were in every way successful. There was a large attendance, and thanks to the exertions of the committee and their secretary, Mr W. Gray, the events on the programme were got off with com-j mendable promptitude. The results were j as follows:— Maiden Race, 150 yards Martini, £1 10s ; D. Martin 2, trophy value 21s. Boys' Race, under 14, 100 yards.—P. Wilkins 1, 10s; W. M'Cutcheon 2, value ss. Plumpton Park Handicap, 100,200, and 300 yards.—C.-, W. Forde 1, £4; W. Wilkins 2, £1 10s; W. Harvey 3, £1. Forde won the first two distance?, Wilkins being second on each occasion, and winning the third event. Cabmen and Carriers' Race, 100 yards. —H. Fisher 1, value £1; S. Martin 2. Pony Flat Race, 7 iurloDgs; catch weights.—Mies Quail 1, Silverda'e 2. Wiestling Match. —M'Tavish 1, value £1 ; Burness 2. value 10a. Bandsmen's Race, 100 yards.—Tankard 1, value £1 ; Steer 2. Girls' Race, under 16 years, 75 yards.— A. Walsh 1, gold brooch ; L. Walsh 2, nickel set. Half - mile Handicap — W. Harvey (20yds) 1, value £2; J. Frasi (scratch) 2, value £1.
