Arrival of Lord Hopetoun In a Weak State of Health Recovering Slowly. United Press Association. By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright (Received Dec. 6, 5.7 p.m.) Perth, JSTov, G. Lord Hopetoun arrived this morning. (Received Dec. 7, 12 a.m.) Lord Hopetoun has greatly improved during the voyage. He is still pale and thin, and far from strong. He was unable to leave his cabin until two days ago. He hopes he will be strong enough for his official duties on his arrival at Sydney. His illness is acute dysentery, contracted at Meerut. - (Received Dec. 7, 1 a.m.) Owing to Lord Hopetoun's illness, and the uncertainty of his time of arrival, there was no public demonstration, and no salute was fired. The administrator of the Government, the Premier, Ministers, and Mayor visited him aboard the Victoria. (Received Dec. 7,12.35 a.m.) Sydney. Dec. G. The Admiral has received a wire stating that Lord Hopetoun is too weak to tranship at Fremantle from his steamer to the Royal Arthur. He will proceed to Adelaide, where he will join the warship, and will fix the date* of landing at Sydney when he reaches Adelaide. It will probably be December 15th.
