With referenoe to some minora of the shipwreck at the Ohathams, Mr &herne, a resident of this oity, writes to iho daily papers stating that Captain Bomeril informed him of a report beard at "Waitangi that a large eteamer was eeen within a comparatively short distance of tho bay, at ODy rato within the west reef She arrived off Wuitaupi at 8 pa., and was clear of tho land at 10 p.m. she veeeel woe fully lit ap -i ith electricity. ZieOaptain Bomeril had been all roand the islands prior to returning to Lyttel'on, there need be no alarm felt.
