The latest returns show that the following are the leading candidates : — Messrs Barton, Carruthers, M'Millan, Eeid, Lyne, R. E. O'Connor, Walker, Wise, and Sir J. Abbott. Messrs Walker and Wise have replaced Messrs Copeland and See as further returns came in.

There are about 140 small returns to come in, but it is almost certain that Cardinal Moran has little chance of being included among the ten. Melbourne, This day.

The following ten will probably be elected for Victoria -.—The Premier, Sir Graham Berry, Sir William Zeal, Dr. Quick, and Messrs Peacock, Isaacs, Deakin, Trenwith, Fraser and Higgins. Hobakt, This day.

The Federal election returns are incomplete. The following are leading :—Sir Phillip Pysh, Sir E. Braddon, and Messrs Henry, Lewis, Dobson, Brown, Grant, Clark, Moore, and Collins.
