AUSTRALIAN.
[EBB PBBSS ASBOOIATIOH.—COPYBIGHT.] Sydney, January 29.
An interesting discovery affecting the Rontgen rays has been made by Mr . iliner, an electrical engineer in the Railway Pepartment. Hitherto the radiographs produced showed foreign substances in bodies, but failed to demonstrate tbe depth they were embedded. Mr Filmer shot a bird, took radiographs from two different angles, and developed them in the usual way. These, he placed in an ordinary stereoscope, aad obtained a clear, well-defined stereoscopic view giving excellent perspective, and enabling him to lopate to a nicety the fatal pellet. The whole internal arrangement of the bird was deady defined. The discovery will to a great exteat .obviate the probing of wounds now necessary.
All doubts attending the whereabouts of Lasagh have been set at rest by his discovery at Grafton, where he is employed 00 a cook under an assumed name. He states that he never had anything to do with Butler. Later.
Lesagh's proper name is Lescheit. Hs has been on the Clarence River for the past three years, and having never read the newspapers, knew nothing about his supposed disappearan.ee. The question now is who the individual is who met Butlor and who was mistaken for Lescheit.
