Ihe Chief Justice is hearing argument to-day iv the case of the Queen versus the Wellington City Oounoil, to test the legality of the erection of shelter eheda between tho Queen's wharf and tho General Post Office, whioh occasioned a considerable amount of controversy a few months ago. The plaintiff sues for tho recovery of possession of tho land from the Corporation, or as an alternative tho removal of tho sheds.
