The monthly meeting was held this morning. Preeent—Mesars T. Humphries (Commissioner), O. Hall, M.H.R , B. Groome, and T. Hyde. COEBBSPONDEHCE. The Burveyor-Geaeral approved th 9 surrender of S. St. Leger's license over Pastoral run No 50.—The Waikohu Road Board's proposals— for the expenditure of the fourths, £8 19s, were approved.— Section 12, bloak 1. Buckley townt-hip, wan ordered to ba gazotted as a cemetery reserve.—H. Smyth, Kumeroa, complained that the local Board had tiot expended the thirds fairly, bat tho ranger reported in favor of the Board, aad no action was taken. —A. Qainlan's surrender of section 9, TJmutaoroa Liberal Small Farm Association, accepted, arrears not to bo pressed for in consideration of improvements effected —T. Whyte, J. Bond, and A. Johnston were granted a small strip of land between their holdings and the new road in the Tautane survey district, to giva them access to the property. —Weber Koad Board granted an occupation license over section 2, block 3, "SVebor, for the use of the roadmen. —An application from the Olive Eiver Board that tbe islands in toe bight between the Ngaruroro and Tukituki rivers be vested in them, was deferred to enable the Commissioner to obtein further particulars. Mr W. J. "Wright's application for a pastoral license over 2810 acres situated at the end of theltuahine ranges, was similarly dealt with. —S. W. P. Peddles application to fenoe in a timber reserve on seotion 1, block IG, Pohui, not entertained.—Gordon and Moore asked for a substantial reduotion in the rent of pastoral runs 7 and 8, Pohui, To be informed that such a course was not legal, but recommending them to surrender the lease so that the land raay be re-ogered, weighted with the value of the improvements. They would then have an opportunity of re-leasing the property on muoh more advantageous terms.— A. Barnett to be informed the land adjoining seotion 1, block 17, Woodville, is b. reserve and could not be leased.—Mr* Irwin, Nuhaka, to be notified that so long as she pays the rent due on the eeation leased by her husband, no aotion will be taken.—S. Atkinson was granted six months extension of time to comply with the residence conditions in connection with his Weber section.—The explanations of 0. Fitzgerald, W. H Smart, and C. H. O. Hert were considered satisfactory.—M. and F Murray, Maharahara, were granted a remission, if -approved by the Minister of Lands, of tho half-year'e rent due on their property before they oapitalissd, subjeot to the freehold being completed within a fortnight.—W. T. Neill was granted six months extension of time to comply with the residence conditions in respect to his eeotion at Hikurangi.-E. Halea, Weber, granted three months to effect deficient improvements. AEEKIES. On representations made by selectors the following extensions of time to pay rent in arrears were granted :-H. 3.. Shanley, G. Newett. and W- Hall, three months; JSi. T. iendle end of March; H. F. Goff, G. Loveday, and K. Kemp, end of February. It was decided to finally notify a number of selectors who had not replied to the first notice of default. TEANSF-EBS. The following transfers were approved: —Beeistrar of isupreme Court (in respect to l*ad seized from H. Bodley) to W. dtock, Pohui; J. Berry to W. L. Olajton, Hancatoa;fc. Oraill, Jan., to G. Thomson, Patutahi; M. and M. Fitzgerald to Fitzgerald Bros. (4), Uawa and Toko; J. Carswell to A. M'Pheraon, Nuhaka; K. Gooeh to W. A. Hint and N. Shaw, W ThTapp"lication of A.
