The annual report of the Savings Bank shows an inoreaae for the year of depositors' balances of £216,000. The Commissioners report that a marked feature of the year's business haa been the development of loans to farmets, and ihat system is becoming highly popular. They say a large number of leaseholders have obtained loans in order to oonvert leases to freehold. Suoh advances totalled £74,000.
