DELAYED CABLES.
Lohdon, October 14. The Liguria, whioh met with an accident at Suez, has gcno on to Naples. Ootober 15.
The German steamer Emma sank the French barque Paoifio in the North Sea. Twelve persons who wero on board the Paoifio were diowned.
Mr Gladstone is suffering from a chill. Nkw Yoek, Ootober U. Mr J. G. Carlisle, Secretary to the Treaeury, speaking at Boston, declared that it was imperative to retire greenbacks aB soon aa a safe currenoy had been found.
