DELAYED CABLES.
London, August 7
The British naval commander on the Chinese station, Vice-Admiral Sir E. Fremantle, has reoeived orders to enforce the demand for redress and satisfaction for the Kucheng massaore.
At a meeting of the creditors of the Oity of Melbourne Bank yesterday, a oable was read from the Melbourne directorate in reference to giving priority of security to new butiness immediately.
A motion was passed to the effeot that it was useless to discuss the proposal and imperative to go into liquidation.
