WOOL AND SKIN SALES.

The periodical b«Ls of wool, hides, and tallow were held by the local vendors at Mriesrs O. B. Hoadlty and Go's auction mart yesterday.

Messrs Williatna and Kettle (i imited) offered and sold 20 bales of wool, 2575 skins, 74 hides, aud 2 paokages of tallow. The usual bu> ere were in attendance. BiJdiug for wool was not aa brisk as at their lit-t sale. Skicp, however, were wull competed for, arid although no epecial lots were offered they realised prices quite eqml to IdPt males' values. Hid< a maintained lite prices. Prices obtained for skius were on a par with those ruling at last sale; all good lines, ei-peoially whbre pelts have been carefully saved under cover, being eagerly competed for. Oddments of weol and hides brought full rates.

Messrs Wenley end Lanauze offered 23 bales and 19 bags wool, 1683 sheepskins, 85 hides, and 23 packages tallow. Wool— Prices remain on ft par with last i>ale. Kough crossbred stragglers sold up to sfd ; medium crutchinge 4d, inferior !ijd to 3|d Sheapsbics—l"< mo very nice lines came torward, and this firm's catalogue contained a better selection than u-util. Prices remained the tame as M last sul", but competition wae hardly ao keen.
