The Sultan is uneasy at the position affairs have reached, and is daily sending embassies and messages to the European representatives, trying to explain tbat his refusal to accept the scheme of reform was only semi-official, and that he i 3 willing to modify his attitude. Bir P. Currie has declined to disouss any modification. Said Pasha has been appointed Grand Vizier.

The Russian Press advocates an international conference to setile the Armenian difficulty.
