[PiSil PIVBSS ASSOCIATION.] CnnisicHUEOH, This day. An eequiry with reference to the management ot the Ohristohuroh Hospital was commenced to-day, before Dr Giles, Commissioner. About fifty people were presont, and several oounsel were engaged on behalf of individuals and associations A lengthy argum-jut took place as to the fccope of the enquiry, and whether the Commissioner was authorised to subpoena witm sr-es. The Commissioner said he had that authority. Counsel fc-r the asso iitions said tho petitions sent in wera not charges, but mere matters for investigation Mr Gi'oa euid for the purposes of the enquiry he looked upon them in tho light of charges against those responsible fur the administration of the hospital.

Afttr certain preliminaries had been ferratigod, the enquiry was adjourned till Monday.
