[PEB PBKS3 ASSOCIATION ]
Wbixesgton, This day.
I Mrs Besant unhesitatingly deDies the statements cabled. She admits that there w*re some messages circulated which did not originate from the Mahatmas. Knowicg this had bson done, she brought the matter before the Theosophical Society to end a dangerous wrong, and to reduce a miss ef vague accusations whioh were made against Mr Judge, believing that Mr Judge had sometimes written Howa letters psyohicilly received, and thus mi "led the people. She protested agaiDst it, and published a full statement in July, whioh was sent to the newspapers, therefore publicity wai due to the papfr j , not to the society. She concluded by saying that her knowledge does not exist on written papers, but on personal experience, and on this she states "I rest."
