The forty-fifth report of the A.M.P. Society was issued to-day. The new badness of 1893 represents 9968 pohcies, assuring £2,857,997, and giving an annual premium income of £96,021. The death claims amounted to £457,291. The accumulated fund now amounts to £11,954,587. The reserve for depreciation of seourities has been increased from £127,717 to £203,643. The actuary's report shows a cash surplus of £589,245. Of this £140,415 will be retained aa a reserve for special purposes, leavtog £448,790 available for die- - trlbutton among the members, which yields reversionary bonus additions of about £910,000. The rate of expenses has been reduced during the year and the rate of interest has fallen by about a quarter per cent. The most prominent features of the report are the precautions taken by the direotora to provide for any possible depreciation of the securities and the stringent standard by which the liabilities under policy contracts are meaenred.
