The Liberal Federation has issued a manifesto stating that the House of Lords cannot be permitted to ruin the Government bills, and calling for serious action on the part of Ministers. John Burns asset is that the attitude of the House of Lords is imperilling the safety of the Throne. A people, he says, who sent Charles I. to sleep without his head will not permit their __. measures to be vetoed by Lord Salisbury**....
